WSFA reports “MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) – A competitive basketball game has turned into a public relations nightmare after a brawl at Alabama State University. WSFA 12 Sports reporter Derek Steyer was covering the Alabama High School Athletic Association Central Region Basketball Tournament hosted by ASU when a fight broke out on the court between players from Carver High School and Valley High School. Carver High School was winning the game 52-37 and during the fourth quarter, around 3:45pm, a foul was called. Several players began pushing each other.”
